Crow Canyon Archaeological Center

The Crow Canyon Archaeological Center, located in southwestern Colorado, is dedicated to understanding, teaching, and preserving the rich history of the ancestral Pueblo Indians (also called the Anasazi) who inhabited the canyons and mesas of the Mesa Verde region more than 700 years ago. The area has one of the densest concentrations of well-preserved archaeological sites in the world, attracting the interest of archaeologists, and capturing the imagination of the public, for well over 100 years.

Dolores River Boating Advocates

We are a group of rafters, kayakers and canoeists based in southwestern Colorado. We love and appreciate the river that flows through and sustains our community. We recognize the multiple uses that it affords, including irrigation, recreation, domestic water supply and industrial use. However, we feel strongly that the Dolores River needs a management plan that better balances human needs with the needs of the ecosystem. Permanent protection of the river and surrounding canyon country will enhance our community and leave a legacy for future generations of which we can be proud. We are an affiliate club of American Whitewater. Founded in 1954, AW is the only national non-profit organization dedicated to conserving America’s whitewater rivers and enhancing opportunities to enjoy them safely.
