Advertising & Marketing:
Business listing: Your Chamber listing includes a link to your own website.
Additional listing & advertising options are available on the appropriate business page for nominal fee.
Brochure placement: Display your brochures in Colorado Welcome Center which hosts over 50,000 visitors each year.
Marketing Campaigns: The Chamber promotes the Cortez area in the Four Corners and beyond to bring more people and money into the area. Your membership funds support these efforts.
Networking & Connecting:
Business After Hours: Held the second Thursday each month from 5-7 pm and hosted by a different business each month, this offers a great way to network while enjoying great food, drink and company. Opportunities to host fill quickly as it is an excellent way to showcase your business.
Chamber luncheons: The Business Forum lunch is held the first Wednesday of the month and features varied and timely presenters. Guests are welcome so bring a friend. The General Membership lunch is held the 3rd Wednesday each month.
Education & Training:
Business Builder Workshops: These offer education and information that cover a variety of business topics. They also offer a time to meet and network with others who have similar concerns and needs.
All Things Business!: This provides information and links to address the wide variety of questions and needs relating to: applications, licensing, permits, bidding and other small business topics. One-on-one attention and resource information help bolster your business’s success.
Communication & Information:
Referrals: The Chamber receives over 50,000 requests for information a year, giving it multiple opportunities to promote area businesses.
Chamber Newsletter: This monthly e-publication keeps members up-to-date on the Chamber and community. It is also an excellent forum for promoting your business to other Chamber members. In addition, there is a hard copy that goes out several times a year with free member business promotion inserts.
“Community Google”: We don’t claim to know everything but our staff and membership collectively know a lot! Call us with your business and general information questions and we will find the answer if it is there or direct you appropriately.
Ribbon cuttings: Our staff and Ambassadors love to help you celebrate and promote your new, renovated or relocated business. A photo and information about your business will be posted on our website and in the monthly newsletter.
Chamber Gala: This annual winter event celebrates area business and citizen awards in a festive setting with great food, drink and special entertainment. Business sponsorships are available for this always sold-out event.
Special Community Events: These provide opportunities throughout the year for members and the community to come together to promote business and our area.
Ambush Thank You's! These are fun surprise visits to businesses just to say thank you for their hard work in our community.
Meeting Space: Members have free usage of the Chamber conference room as scheduling allows.
Bulk Mailing Permit access: This is a great way to lower mass mailing costs
Raffle License: The Chamber holds a State of Colorado raffle license and has a gaming manager on staff to help your non-profit raise funds.
Develop leadership skills through various Chamber workshops and classes.
Enroll in IGNITE* (Initiate, Grow, Network, Inspire, Thrive, Empower): This is an 8 month tuition based program (meeting for one 1/2 day/month) designed to encourage participants to work together in order to foster & facilitate positive change in their workplaces & community.
Demonstrate leadership through leadership training and volunteer work with committees and Chamber event.
