Fire Protection

The Cortez Fire Protection District has a number of dedicated members and a website with a great deal of helpful information to protect your loved ones and your business. There are also fire protection districts for: Dolores, Mancos, Pleasant View, Lewis Arriola, Towaoc and Mesa Verde. 

Air Transportation

Cortez Regional Airport is located just south of Cortez with service several times daily. There are also regional airports located in Durango, CO and Farmington, NM, both one hour away. The closest large hub airport is located four hours away in Albuquerque, NM.

Parks & Recreation
