Conquistador Golf Course, an 18 hole par 72 course is set on 160 beautiful acres with lovely views to the La Plata Mountains and Mesa Verde. It is a USGA sanctionedand has full facilities including a full service pro shop, driving range and putting green as well as golf carts for rent.
South Forty Golf Course & Driving Range is 9 hole links style golf course that is family oriented and fun with lovely views all around.
There are some great white water rafting opportunities just 45 minutes - 1 hour away on the Animas River. They rank from Class II to Class V depending on the time of year and other conditions so you can definitely find the level of excitement most suited to you and your family.

Horseback riding is a great way to take in our local scenery, whether it is in the canyons or up in the mountains. Skiing & Snowshoeing:
There is both great cross country and downhill skiing in our area. Mesa Verde National Park has 4 groomed trails for Nordic skiing when conditions allow and numerous snowshoeing trails as well. World class downhill skiing is available just 1 hour and 15 minutes away at Telluride Ski Resort which has been listed a number as one of the Top 10 ski resorts in North America. The beautiful drive passes the old mining town of Rico, Trout Lake at 10,000 feet and three 14,000 peaks: Mt. Wilson, El Diente and Wilson Peak. The old minig town of Telluride is full of great shops and restaurants, a perfect choice if some in your group prefer to take it easy.
Hunting has been a tradition in this area for thousands of years. With our large herds of deer and elk, people come to our area especially for the hunting and many families use it to fill their freezer each year.
