Attention Business Owners and Residents of Cortez and Montezuma County! The Cortez Area Chamber of Commerce is undergoing a Rebrand and we would like to hear from YOU! We want to add value to our membership benefits, help make businesses dreams a reality, and partner with government and non-profits to help our community and the Four Corners Area THRIVE! Please join us for a 'Main Street Meeting' to discuss how the Chamber can help you, and what you would like to see in terms of positive growth in our community. Wednesday, August 10, at 6 pm at the Chamber Business Resource Center at 20 West Main Street in Cortez.
The Cortez Area Chamber Business Resource Center at 20 W Main St is now open! The center houses the offices for the Chamber with an info kiosk section to display information and brochures for our many great Chamber members. We also offer affordable co-working, meeting, and event space in the heart of downtown.
We have also been working with the Southwest Colorado Business Development Center (SBDC) and Region 9 to offer their business support resources through the center as a true one-stop-shop for business resources in the Cortez area.
Cortez Area Chamber's Annual Gratitude Gala benefitting the 100 Club of Montezuma County in November of 2021 was a HUGE success raising $13,857.93 for the 100 Club! Thank you to all of our great sponsors and to everyone who came out to the sold-out event!
2021 brought several new changes to the Cortez Area Chamber including a change in the dues structure and sponsorship options. You can learn more about those HERE. Also be sure to check the member directory HERE to verify that your membership is current and that information listed is still accurate.

Our Mission Statement:
Strengthening Business to Promote a Prosperous Community
The Cortez Area Chamber of Commerce is a business membership organization focused on increasing and sustaining economic vitality in the Cortez Area and Montezuma County. Our mission is to strengthen business to promote a prosperous community.
The Chamber works to accomplish this mission through a combination of Economic Development activities and Membership Services. These include providing: networking opportunities, advertising, education & training, small business resources, and logistical support to area businesses, as well as working with regional partners and governmental entities to develop business-friendly policies and programs to recruit new businesses to our area.
Advocacy for members is key, and with hundreds of local business members, the Chamber is well-positioned to promote our members and advocate for pro-business policies that affect them in legislative discussions as the collective voice of business in the Cortez Area. In addition, the Chamber believes it is important to celebrate our member's achievements which it does throughout the year.
